A provisional text

This text is provisional. No lawyer has reviewed it yet.

It describes how Doctalis works today. A final version, written by a lawyer, replaces it before the data of a first real patient is processed.

What Doctalis is for

Doctalis serves to document and administer the work of health practitioners. It records a consultation with the agreement of those present, transcribes it, drafts documents from the practitioner’s own templates and keeps each patient’s record. Doctalis is not a medical device. It gives no diagnosis, prognosis or treatment.

The practitioner reviews and validates every document, and remains responsible for its medical content. Doctalis verifies no professional identity.

Your account

You sign in with a code sent by email or with Google. There is no password.

An account belongs to one person, who does not share it. In a practice, each member is a practitioner or a practice assistant. Administrators, practitioners or assistants, run the practice. The administrator right opens no patient’s medical content.

Your responsibility

The practice is responsible for its records. Doctalis holds them for it.

Before recording, you obtain the agreement of those present. You check what Doctalis drafts before validating it. The AI can make mistakes, and it flags what it infers rather than reads.

The extent of Doctalis’s liability is set in the final version.

Your data

Every patient’s data is stored in Switzerland, its backups included. The AI that transcribes and drafts processes it only in Switzerland or the European Union. The AI vendors never use the data they process to train a model, under their terms. Doctalis deletes a recording’s audio as soon as its transcript is written. The transcription’s vendor offers no way to delete a result on its side: how long it keeps one is confirmed in writing before the first patient.

The processing agreement and the privacy policy describe the rest.

Conditions of sale

A practice starts with a trial of 7 days, without a card. It then pays for each practitioner’s seat, by the month or by the year. A practice assistant’s seat is free. Prices are shown in the product, in Swiss francs, excluding VAT.

A seat added is charged at once, pro rata. A seat removed stops at the end of the period. Cancelling takes effect at the end of the paid period, without a refund. After the trial, or 7 days after a failed payment, the practice reads and takes out its data, but creates nothing new.

A practice left read-only for 90 days without paying is closed by Doctalis. Its administrators are told by email 30 and then 7 days before; until then, they may take out its data or subscribe. Its data is deleted 30 days after the closing.

Changes

A text in force is never changed. A change is a new version, with its date.

Each person accepts a new version of these terms before going on. Whether they accept it or not, they can always export their practice’s data, delete their account, cancel the subscription and write to the Doctalis team.

Applicable law

These terms are governed by Swiss law. The place of jurisdiction is set in the final version.
