Who sees a record

A patient’s medical content is seen by their treating practitioners and by the assistants who work for them. A practitioner becomes a treating practitioner of a patient they create, link to their session, or that an assistant creates for them. Other members see the patient’s name, date of birth and treating practitioners; being an administrator opens no medical record.

In “Whole practice”, another practitioner may choose “Open the record”: they become one of the patient’s treating practitioners, the opening is kept in the practice’s journal, and the other treating practitioners are told.

Every reading of medical content is logged. Administrators read it in Settings › Readings; a treating practitioner, or an administrator, opens “Record readings” from the record’s “⋯” menu.
