Adapt a template

In Documents, Templates groups your templates, those shared with the practice and the library. “New” starts from a blank page or from a document: Doctalis takes its structure, style and layout, without the patient’s data. A library template is used as it is, or edited freely: “Save a copy” makes it a new template in your name, the library left unchanged.

The template is set on the left — instruction, sections, fixed texts and fields — and an example written for a fictional patient shows it on the right. “Ask Doctalis…” proposes a change, which you apply or ignore; “Layout” sets the header, typeface, margins and signature.

Each save creates a new version, and each document keeps the one it came from; the “History” restores a version. In the template’s settings, “Default template” lists it in every new session started for you, and sharing opens it to the whole practice.
